Top Paying IT Certifications

While I was talking with IT experts of certification we are always coming up to different questions: "Is certificate shows real knowledge or ability to earn more?", "Is it better to first acquire a working knowledge and then be certified, or otherwise?" "Is certified IT expert, but without work experience, better than IT expert with high work experience but no certificates?"

Opinions are different.
People are different. IT experts are different. Probably no right answer to these questions. The employer must decide who to hire. The employer must decide how much is willing to pay certified IT expert or IT expert without certification.

My personal opinion is that knowledge must come first and the second certificate.

Market research tells us that some certificates are better paid than others. With this statement will agree any IT expert.

Global Knowledge study published in the white paper "Top 15 Paying
IT Certifications for 2012 "tells us about the forecast for this year.

More or less the same every year.

From 15 Top Paying IT Certifications:

  • 4 are The Cisco certificates
  • 4 are The Microsoft certificates
  • 3 are The CompTIA+ certificates
  • 1 is The PMI (The Project Management Institute) certificate
  • 1 is The ANSI (American National Standards Institute) / ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certificate
  • 1 is The ITIL v3 (some of the ITIL v3) or The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITILv3) certificate
  • 1 is The VMware certificate

If we look at these data statistically, Cisco and Microsoft are the most common of the Top 15 Paying IT Certifications, right?

Are they on the top?

Read the Global Knowledge White Paper to find out.
